Name: Simon Nikola Kosanovic
Age: 25
Ability/Power: TBA/Not Sure/Possibly none
Short Bio: Simon is a polymath. He was always gifted and perhaps his parents thought he might be gifted even from the moment of his birth when they named him. He was a distant child, never making many friends, always ostracized, teased, picked on and bullied. He often got back at some of these kids, but never directly, he was clever. He devoured books and information, skipped grades and sped through school, graduating from Columbia summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in applied physics and mathematics. He went to MIT afterwards, where he received two graduate degrees in too short of a time; one in mechanical engineering and the other in electrical engineering and computer science. He was hired on as an assistant professor after graduation to begin work on a DARPA-funded project. Halfway through that first year he had a complete mental breakdown and was institutionalized. He has only recently been released, his memories of the over one year spent in the psychiatric ward hazy at best.
Cybercast: James McAvoy
Sample Paragraph:
Simon swept his eyes over the whiteboard in his office. His eyes settled first in one spot, then another, bouncing between the sets of figures he had worked out. His hand and marker raced, connecting some of these together. "No," a tiny voice in his head seemed to say, a voice that did not seem to be his own, and he erased the line he had just sketched in. His hand lifted again as he thought he saw another point of connection that he did not want to forget. And that no sounded again. The figures on the board seemed to shift and slide then of their own accord, pointing out inconsistencies, patterns, a path to take. The rest of the room began to fade out as a tunnel vision began to overcome him. There was then a kaleidoscopic explosion of light. He saw a crystal chrysanthemum. The petals spread out and the universe opened to him, revealing all of its myriad dimensions. He felt in touch with everything and for one brief moment he felt as if he had complete understanding. The image then shattered into a million tiny pieces and all he could do was watch helplessly as they flew away from him. There was a moment where his view of the world was a cacaphony of sound and light. and then there was silence, and then everything went black.
